All wooden fencing is built using Class A pressure-treated timber. This is not the standard treated timber used by many contractors. Class A treatment gives significantly better resistance to rot, insect attack and moisture, which means the fence lasts longer and holds its appearance. Domestic Fencing Options
The right fence depends on the property, the boundary and what you need it to do. Here are the main types we install for domestic customers.
Close Board (Feather Edge)
The most common choice for garden boundaries. Overlapping feather edge boards fixed to arris rails and posts give a solid, private fence that handles ground movement better than panel fencing. Built to last and repairable board by board if needed. Available with concrete or timber posts.
Post and Rail
A clean, open fence style suited to boundary marking, front gardens and rural or semi-rural properties. Available in two-rail and three-rail configurations. Works well alongside hedging or as a standalone boundary feature without blocking light or views.
Panel Fencing
Wooden panels installed between concrete or timber posts. A cost-effective option for straightforward garden boundaries. We fit panels with both concrete posts (more permanent and low maintenance) and timber posts, depending on the site conditions and customer preference.
Picket Fencing
Traditional timber picket fencing for front gardens, driveways and cottage-style properties. Attractive and distinctive without the full privacy of close board. Often installed with a matching gate. All picket fencing is supplied and fitted by us using pressure-treated timber.
Why Class A Pressure-Treated Timber Matters
Not all treated timber is equal. Most fencing contractors use standard C3 or C4 treated timber, which provides basic protection against rot and moisture. Cure Contractors uses Class A pressure-treated timber, which provides a higher level of protection and is rated for ground contact use.
The result is a fence that holds up significantly better over time, requires less maintenance and does not start to deteriorate at the base within a few years.
